Amanda 2.6: Major new release of open source backup software

Amanda community released a major new version (2.6.0) today. This is a significant release with improvements in ease of installation & configuration, security, robustness, and scalability.

This version also has Device API which enables integration of new storage platforms (e.g. Amazon S3) as backup target for Amanda.
