Debian Packages

From a user's perspective, both Debian and RPM packages are very similar. They offer pretty much the same features and both offer similar command-line functionality.

Many end-users prefer Debian packages because of the powerful (yet user-friendly) wrapper programs like dselect, tasksel, and apt-get.
