ASUS is building a new Eee PC that will push the cost of its 9-inch notebooks down: by using both is own version of Linux and a hard drive, the PC maker will be able to sell its Linux 9-inch notebook for $500 -- a full $100 less than the Eee PC 901 (as well as many Windows notebooks).
