The failure of two computers forced Entropy blogger Caitlyn Martin to do more with less with some old hardware in the interim.

She tried Vector Linux Light 5,. Beta 5 and writes about advances in green computing she found. Most impressive: VL-Hot, a HAL replacement which doesn't poll the hardware, working with LXDE, a new lightweight desktop.
