Ease of use is one of the main interests in the Ubuntu 8.10 server so administrators tend to look at Ubuntu not only because this is a staple of the Ubuntu Desktop but the server version has been known for ease of setup.

A perfect Ubuntu upgrade

I have a history here of griping about problems with Ubuntu upgrades - what doesn’t work, what breaks, and so forth. You may have noticed that a month has elapsed without an Intrepid Ibex upgrade horror story.

VMware Workstation, Ubuntu and Unity

I’ve been trying to get Unity working for VMware Workstation on Ubuntu. I had one PC working and one that wasn’t working. Both ran Ubuntu 8.10, but one with 32bits and the other with the 64bits version. So I expected this to be the problem.
