AssaultCube: a low bandwidth, cross platform, highly fun FPS

The game's first non-beta release is finally here, and it was worth the wait. AssaultCube has a wide variety of game modes.

There's the familar deathmatch and CTF, a Counter-Strike-like "team survivor" mode, and more unfamiliar modes like Hunt the Flag.

There's at least one game mode to suit everyone. Dial-up users can play this game decently, too.

openSUSE 11.1 is moving ever closer to its December release date. The fourth beta release became available Monday.

One of the changes openSUSE users will notice right away is the new YaST disk partitioner. I had the chance to kick the tires of the new partitioner this week.

It "does what it says," but the box looks very, very different.
