Installing Ubuntu (or other distribution) Without Burning a CD

Linux Basement: "Several years ago I learned how to install linux without having to burn a cd. This is useful if you like to distro hop like I do, and also appreciate that testing on real hardware is far better than using a virtual machine.

I have used this method for Fedora, Debian, and Ubuntu, but I bet it would work with other distributions as well."
