After a series of minor releases, AMD has announced a major new Linux driver with OverDrive(overclocking), CrossFire support, adaptive anti-aliasing, major bug fixes and much more.

Seems that ATI/AMD is become more and more Linux friendly, today they announced CrossFire and OverDrive support for Linux.

Phoronix: "How does this feature work though on Linux and does it deliver similar performance gains to their Windows driver?

AMD is also quickly ascending to a feature parity between the Windows and Linux Catalyst suites. As we shared last week, CrossFire is coming to Linux next quarter.
