Bargains abound amidst the financial fiasco. Let's look for the ones in the handset sector.

Chalk up another privacy fiasco for Facebook. The latest public relations disaster for the company that brought the world Beacon stems from Top Friends, an application created by Slide.

Many people have had fingers pointed at them, but it is not really interesting who made the mistake: everyone makes mistakes.

What's interesting is the situation that encouraged making the mistake and that made it possible not to notice it for almost two years.

Now, to Microsoft's credit, they have helped out as well. Their help has included: License enforcement in countries such as Costa Rica to help people realize they could only afford Linux prices; Some really bad political moves (such as the recent open document format fiasco) that make them look like scum.
