EPIC SBC runs hot and cold

WinSystems announced an EPIC-format, extended-temperature single board computer (SBC) that runs Linux. Aimed at industrial applications, the EPX-855-G is equipped with an Intel Celeron-M clocked at 1GHz (fanless) or 1.8GHz Pentium (fan), and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 158 degrees F.

Information Week reports that Psystar is now selling an Ubuntu-loaded PC.

"Mac clone manufacturer Psystar, which has been sued by Apple for copyright violation, isn't putting all its eggs in the Mac OS market.

The Miami-based system integrator has introduced a Linux-based personal computer that sells for just $299.

Psystar's OpenLite system ships with the Ubuntu Linux desktop preinstalled, running on a 1.8-GHz Intel Celeron chip with integrated graphics support.

Actually i discovered this problem when recently. My laptop use Intel Celeron(Which no one will buy on the first hand), and have about 883MB of RAM.

I used to be a gnome user which is easy to used and have a lot of nice features too.. But i notice that my laptop cant handle the memory usage and there are some program used a lot of memory and cpu.
