interesting stuff

There's been some pretty fun and interesting stuff coming out of the Adobe AIR platform .

I checked out Yahoo's sneak peek of BrowserPlus this morning -- looks like there is some interesting stuff there.

He drove for five hours(!) to get there and bring you back, hot off the presses, what was on the menu: Joomla and Moodle, TopMod and 3D modelling, business models for open source amongst other interesting stuff.You can get the full monty at FSM.

The Linux Foundation has posted a series of videos from the Collaboration Summit held in Austin.

There's a bunch of interesting stuff there, but, unfortunately, the videos are in Flash format and, thus, will not collaborate well with a lot of Linux systems.

The word from the Foundation is that the company hired to do the video work wasn't able to figure out how to produce the final result in an open format.

"Ah, spring... when a young penguin's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of... Beta testing! Yes, spring has sprung, and so has the Beta release of Fedora 9!" With that note, the Fedora developers announce their beta release and request that anybody interested in Fedora 9 help to test it out.
