OLPC partners with Amazon, ITU

Amazon will sell One Laptop Per Child (OLPC)'s Linux-compatible XO notebook starting in November, says a news story.

The story also says OLPC is partnering with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to help distribute the notebooks, and the next-generation XO-2 will ship in 1Q 2010.

Normally, I try not to write about stories that are more than a couple of days old. But considering how many Linux news sources I read daily and considering I never saw this story, I have to assume that you may have too...


 

Fox Hates Linux Users

While surfing around digg I decided to I wanted to view the video of the news story of the kid who got suspended for taking a call during class from his Dad in Iraq.

Unfortunately Fox news didn't want to let me view the video... Why you ask? Because I'm running Linux. But nothing User-Agent switching can't help.
