EFi-X is the latest commercial product to allow PCs to boot Mac OS X. A company called Psystar made headlines in April when it introduced its "Open Computer" which was built from generic PC parts which also allowed users to boot Mac OS X Leopard.

Embattled open computer manufacturer Psystar plans to file an antitrust lawsuit against the very company it copies for a living.

Open Computer: "Listed on the roadmap to Gnome 2.24 is the integration with Empathy, a multi-protocol IM client.

This integration could be a sign of a replacement for Pidgin and Ekiga with one single SIP and multi-protocol IM application."

Customers who purchased Open Computing products with Apple's OS X Leopard will receive a disc that will allow them to reinstall their OS should something go drastically wrong or if they feel like getting a new start on their Open Computing.

This utility will allow your Open Computer to boot from the native Leopard installation DVD.

The Linuxstamp is being showcased at LinuxWorld this week. It's available pre-built for $120, or you can download the design for free and build it yourself.

After about a month with Psystar's Open Computer, as long as I ignore the big ugly box underneath my desk it's easy to forget that this isn't a Mac.

Pystar has done it again, this time releasing 3 more Open Computers that are compatible with Mac OS X; 2 of them being servers and one being a more expensive "Pro" version of the basic Open Computer.
