Embedded Linux PC does external PC/104 stacks

Taiwanese embedded PC and appliance specialist AR Infotek is shipping a fanless, x86-compatible Linux system with top-mounted I/O connectors and external PC/104 expansion.

The Pipal 2025 lets users add PC/104 modules without changing the system chassis, the company says.

Arbor Technology announced a fanless panel PC for HMI (human-machine interface) and automation applications.

The TO660 runs Linux on an AMD LX900 CPU, and has a 5.7-inch touchscreen, 1GB system memory, Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, three serial ports, a CompactFlash socket, and back-panel PC/104 expansion.


 

PC/104-Plus SBC uses eight Watts

VersaLogic has modified one of its long-running single-board computers (SBCs) to operate fanlessly, using just eight Watts of power.

The PC-104/Plus-based Cheetah EPM-32v runs Linux, targeting low-power embedded applications in medicine, avionics, or security, says the company.

Eurotech announced a PC/104-Plus single board computer (SBC) with Intel's Z500-series Atom processors, and an optional 20-channel GPS receiver.
