3EPC released its 3G Monitor tool; eee220. This is an Eee PC based monitor tool for the Huawei e220 3G USB-Modem.

When you insert your e220 into an USB port, the tray monitor will popup & shows you the current signal strength & will give you the option to connect/disconnect or to configure which connection it should monitor.

Bluetooth proximity access for your Linux machine

Basically, this is proximity-based access for your computer. All you need is Bluetooth support on your desktop or laptop, a Bluetooth-enabled device, and BlueProximity.

BlueProximity monitors any Bluetooth device paired with your system for signal strength. When you walk away from your PC, the signal strength will drop and your screen will lock.
