Free Documentation License 1.3

The Free Software Foundation has announced the release of version 1.3 of the GNU Free Documentation License.

The big change would appear to be a clause allowing FDL-licensed text to be relicensed to the Creative Commons attribution-sharealike license.

"This new permission has been added at the request of the Wikimedia Foundation, which oversees the Wikipedia project.

The same terms are available to any public wiki that uses materials available under the new license.

I'm studying the Debian wiki as well as the francophone Ubuntu Wiki and the Quebec project in Wikipedia. After some interviews in DebConf8, Mar del plata, Argentina, and after talking with developpers there, I realised there were very different views of the wiki within the Debian Community.
