Sync subscribed calendars to the iPhone via MobileMe

Calendar syncing via MobileMe to an iPhone works great, except it doesn't include subscribed calendars yet. (An Apple knowledge base article makes it sound like they are working on it.) Here's a workaround that's good for static calendars, like US Holidays or Jewish Holidays:

  1. Select the subscribed calendar in iCal.
  2. Choose File » Export... and save it someplace.
  3. Choose File » Import...

64-bit Linux support for Flash Player

From what I’ve heard it works fairly well on most distros but I haven’t heard yet how well it works with the new Flash Player 10 beta.

Despite this potential workaround eventually Adobe does need to natively support 64-bit Linux - and they will.


 

Access Sprint Family Locator site with Safari

When I launched HoudahSpot this morning, the program's auto-update feature told me that there was a new version available, and listed the new version's bug fixes and added features.

One of the last features caught my eye, as it's one of the things about HoudahSpot that I didn't like: you can now set the field header background color via a hidden preference.
