More details are known of the latest Kathrein Linux based HD satellite receiver, the UFS 922. This tuner will contain 2 DVB-S2 tuners, so you can record a tv channel, while your watching another channel. A manual is already online on the Kathrein site, although the UFS 922 is not available yet.

The Kathrein UFS 910 - HDTV Info Europe spin-off site reached its 1st year anniversary! In just one year time the linux based Kathrein UFS 910 became a fully HDTV capable satellite receiver with many goodies known from the 1st successful Linux satellite receiver, the Dreambox. Softcams like Mgcamd & Mbox are now also available for the UFS 910.

UFS 910 1.06 Firmware released

Kathrein has released their new 1.06 firmware for their Linux based HDTV satellite-receiver; the UFS 910. This firmware contains some (HDMI) fixes & new features, like Russian language & network parameter settings.

Kathrein will release a new HDTV capable Satellite Receiver, also running on Linux. The Kathrein UFS 922 will be the 1st twin HD satellite receiver from this company. The UFS 922 will feature a twin DVB-S2 tuner & a 500 GB HDD. Also this box should play multimedia files, straightwaway from the HDD.

Dutch team Picmod have released their 2nd Image for the Linux based Kathrein UFS 910 HDTV Satellite Receiver. This Image is based on the original 1.05 Image from Kathrein. Features: Samba, Ipkg install (webif), Ip config selectable by red button, Keyupdater & Crontab.

AAF 1.4 Image upgrade V3 for the UFS 910 HDTV sat-receiver
